We'd like to let you know that The Communications Workers Union (CWU) have published proposed dates of further strike action in Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide across 19 days in October, November and December.
At the moment Royal Mail have been formally notified of the following dates of strike action in October:
• 13 October
• 20 October
• 25 October
There will be some delays to letter and parcel services.
Timed delivery guarantees will be suspended for items sent up to two days before, during strike action and until services are back to normal:
• Guarantees are suspended for items posted on/from Wednesday 12 October up to and including Friday 14 October – they will be re-instated for items posted from Saturday 15 October
• Guarantees are suspended for items posted on/from Wednesday 19 October up to and including Wednesday 26 October – they will be re-instated for items posted from Thursday 27 October.
However, Royal Mail Special Delivery is still prioritised during strike action and is the best way to send urgent items via Royal Mail at the Post Office.
Royal Mail and Parcelforce will resume normal delivery and collection services on the next working day.
