Split the machine down and remove the 2 wires at the rear of the switch (remember which colour wire goes where). Remove the brush card and solder the replacement part onto the switch. Install onto the rear end of the motor on reassembly making sure that the motor isn't rubbing on the brush card. Then reassemble.
